The Rockefeller Foundation awarded ten global finalists nearly a quarter million dollars each to jump start their visions for a better future.
Knowing that we had to highlight stories of hope, we took inspiration from Walt Disney’s quote “If you can dream it, you can do it.” We translated this thesis onto the screen through our visuals: what we see through our camera lens, how VFX brings life to the data, and the text we use to bring context to the screen. With the Covid-19 crisis beginning immediately after the engagement started, now more than ever, an optimistic view of the future was needed. New approaches to every element of the documentary process had to be created from the ground up in order to allow physical production to occur across five continents and eight countries in a single calendar year.
